What fun sketches.
Erhard Schnell died on February 8th, aged 92. He worked at Opel from
1952 to 1992 and designed the iconic GT, 1st-gen
Corsa, and the Calibra.

Timeless beauty. My sister-in-law’s sister has an orange one that her husband completely restored for her. He has a hot rod Datsun 1600 roadster.

That’s too bad, the Opel GT and the Calibra are both classics. The 1st gen Corsa, well, was a Corsa.

The guy’s name was Schnell, for real ?!? (fast, in German).
Great talent, he made slow cars look fast.

Great classic designs. I owned several Opel Gt and Mantas . Loved the designs and the gas mileage, too bad the mechanicals weren’t up making them true race cars.
